چکیده

Introduction: Chronic Plantar Ulcer of Leprosy (CPUL), one the debilitating disabilities and complications, poses a treatment challenge. Utilization stem cells, specifically adipocyte-derived mesenchymal cells-conditioned medium (ADMSC-CM) amniotic membrane (AMSC-CM), may serve as novel therapeutic option. This study aims to compare efficacy topical ADMSC-CM, AMSC-CM, farmazertin gauze dressing (FGD) only on healing CPUL.Methods: In this randomized controlled trial, our recruited 54 subjects with CPUL. Subjects were randomly assigned ADMSC-CM (n = 16), AMSC-CM 22), or FGD 16) applied every three days for up 8 weeks. Data analyzed using SPSS version 20 Windows. Results: Healing percentage increased each week in all groups. Statistic differences between groups (p <0.05) observed ulcer mean size depth reduction from onwards. No adverse reactions complications reported. At end study, based clinically improved ulcers, (100.0%) superior improving CPULs compared (54.55%) (50.0%).Conclusion: are potential agents management CPUL, being overall improvement.

Conditioned medium derived from mesenchymal Stem cells regenerates’ defected articular cartilage

Background & Aims: One of cell- based technical issues associated with cartilage repair assay is delivering cells to the site of the parts where damage is created. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) with their chondrogenic potential are ideal candidates for cartilage regeneration. High expression of cartilage hypertrophy markers by MSCs would result in apoptosis and ossification. This investigation ...

Conditioned medium obtained from human amniotic membrane-derived mesenchymal stem cell attenuates heart failure injury in rats

Objective(s): Heart failure (HF) is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Due to beneficial effects of stem cells, paracrine secretion of them has recently been used by researchers. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of intravenous injection (IV) of conditioned medium (CM) of human amniotic membrane-derived mesenchymal stem cell (MSC-CM) o...

Effects of Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells-Conditioned Medium on Tibial Partial Osteotomy Model of Fracture Healing in Hypothyroidism Rats

Background: Hypothyroidism is associated with dysfunction of the bone turnover with reduced osteoblastic bone formation and osteoclastic bone resorption. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) secrete various factors and cytokines that may stimulate bone regeneration.  The aim of this study was to determine the effects of MSCs-conditioned medium (CM) in hypothyroidism male rats after inducing bone ...

Therapeutic effects of conditioned medium from bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells on epithelial-mesenchymal transition in A549 cells

Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is a chronic lung disease. The transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1)/Smad3 signaling pathway plays an important role in the pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis. Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) have been shown to be a modulator of the molecular aspects of the fibrosis pathway. However, it is still unknown as to whether the conditioned medium from BMSCs ...

Comparison of Characteristics of Human Amniotic Membrane and Human Adipose Tissue Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells

BACKGROUND Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are ideal candidates for treatment of diseases. Amniotic membranes are an inexpensive source of MSCs (AM-MSC) without any donor site morbidity in cell therapy. Adipose tissue derived stem cells (ASCs) are also suitable cells for cell therapy. There is discrepancy in CD271 expression among MSCs from different sources. In this study, the characteristics...
